🏆 GW27 FPL Draft Zone - Weekly Brief 🏆
Hello, you beautiful bunch of Draft managers!
Welcome to your weekly dose of FPL Draft Zone wisdom! We’re hurtling towards Gameweek 27, and if you want to stop trailing your mini-league rival who only sets their line-up once a month, it’s time to start paying attention. 🤡
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gameweek 27: The Waiver Wire Goldmine ⛏️
The "Must-Haves" 🌟
• Anton Stach (Leeds United): Set to return from injury this week, If he’s free on your waivers, stop reading this and go and get him. GO ON! DO IT! Despite playing for a struggling side, he has created the 4th most chances in the ENTIRE LEAGUE. He’s essentially a budget Bruno Fernandes - and he’s much more likeable.
• Kevin Schade (Brentford): He’s back from suspension and looking at a dreamy fixture run that includes Brighton, Burnley and Wolves. With five attacking returns in his last seven, now is the time to jump on that Brentford bandwagon before it's too late. 🐝
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The "Sensible vs. Glamour" Pick 🛡️✨
• Mateus Fernandes (West Ham): Fernandes is fast becoming one of the FPL’s ultimate DEFCON Beasts. He’s averaged 6.4 points per match over the last five weeks and while there are more glamorous options available (I’m looking at you, Eberechi Eze) – Fernandes is the safer bet.
The Easy Route In To An Elite Defence 👌
• Piero Hincapié (Arsenal): With Riccardo Calafiori struggling with injury, Hincapié’s minutes could be about to increase even further – don’t miss the boat.
The ‘Surely He’ll Start Soon’ Move 🎲
• Benjamin Sesko (Man Utd): Big Ben has scored four goals in his last five appearances – in what amounts to the minutes equivalent of just 1.6 games. Even if Michael Carrick only lets him out of the cage for 15 minutes at a time, he’s a solid third striker pick up who might just become a regular sooner rather than later. 👹

The "Time to Say Goodbye" Corner 📉
Screw Valentine’s Day - it’s time for a painful breakup. It’s not me, it’s you, Ryan Cherki. We love the talent, but you’ve only started two of Manchester City’s last six matches, and we need more commitment from you - and more minutes.
Controversial Trade Take 😱
Brace yourselves Arsenal fans – but we need to talk Bukayo Saka. He’s only got four goals all season and hasn’t had an attacking return since Gameweek 20. If someone in your league is prepared to offer a king’s ransom for Star Boy (say a Brian Mbeumo or a Morgan Rogers), you should seriously consider moving him on. 😲

Manager Mailbag: Quick Hits 📬
• What to do with Kai Havertz? If there’s a Dominic Solanke or Jorgen Strand Larsen available, bin him. Otherwise, hold until he’s fit.
• Marc Cucurella – time to waiver out? Not for me, Clive. Hold him. He’ll walk back into that Chelsea team once his hamstring stops acting up in mid-March – and that’s what the bench is for.
• Who Holds More Value - Bowen vs. Watkins? Jared Bowen has more minutes, more assists, a better points per game average, and crucially a better POINTS TOTAL. Sorry, Ollie, but if one of you has to go… it’s you. 🤷♂️

Good luck this week - may your victories be sweet and your rivals be salty! 🥂
